While Rosedale Ultra Wash is a self-service laundromat, we maintain a clean, friendly environment where an attendant is always available. We also offer wash/dry/fold laundry service, catering to busy families, students, senior citizens and extended stay travelers.
Leave your quarters at home. Rosedale Ultra Wash uses a state-of-the-art reloadable debit laundry card system that starts all machines, including the pop/snack machines. Your laundry card can be loaded using cash, Visa, Mastercard, AMEX and Discover credit cards.
Rosedale Ultra Wash features 51 oversized commercial washers, ranging in size from 30 lbs all the way to our Monster 130 lb High Speed Extract machine. There are 48 HOT dryers in 3 load capacities. This means we can easily handle large household items such as comforters, blankets and sleeping bags. Over half of our washers are High Speed Extract, providing you with faster washes and less time/money drying.
Rosedale Ultra Wash is proud to be one of the first (if not THE first) in the Kansas City area, to implement an Ozone system. Ozone, the same technology used by hospitals and nursing homes to sanitize their linens, is now being applied to every load of wash in the laundromat. Rosedale Ultra Wash, a multi-generation, family-owned laundromat, has been proudly serving the community since 2003. Founded by our mother, Rosedale Ultra Wash began with a simple vision: to provide a clean, convenient, and customer-focused laundry service. Our High-Speed Extract washers remove more water from each load, so your clothes are cleaner and dry faster, which ultimately saves you on drying time and energy costs. Whether you're washing a small load or something large like a comforter, we have the capacity to handle it with ease. We offer 51 oversized commercial washers, ranging from 30 lbs to 130 lbs, and 48 HOT dryers in three different load capacities, ensuring that every customer can find the right machine for their needs.

Rosedale Ultra Wash is entirely card-operated, which means no more fumbling with coins or dealing with coin jams. Instead, we offer our own reloadable debit laundry cards that allow you to start all of our machines with a simple swipe. This process is easy, quick, and convenient. For added flexibility, we accept cash, Apple Pay, Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, and Discover credit cards.

FAQ

I don’t see lots of water or suds – is the machine working?

Yes. All of our washers are high efficiency, front-loaders. They use 50% less water than traditional washers. Your clothes will be washed in a shallow pool of water and use high pressure sprays to rinse. This process produces less suds and keeps clothes constantly in motion, so the clothes get even cleaner.

Does cold water get my clothes as clean?

Cold water is great for most clothes and can wash as efficiently as warm or hot. Cold water helps prevent your clothes from fading or shrinking as heat reduces the durability in fabrics. Unless you are sanitizing clothing or bedding due to illness, cold water is your best choice. Don’t forget, at Rosedale Ultra Wash, all our water has gone through an Ozone System, which provides excellent sanitation. Check out our 3 minute video for more information.

Can I stuff the washer to the top?

No. Washers do not work well if you stuff the entire drum full of clothes. Washers are designed to activate detergents and water while circulating your laundry in the drums as it spins. The more space you have, the more room it has to agitate resulting in a cleaner wash.

Why is there soap coming out of the top of the washer?

When using our high-efficiency machines, less is more. You should not see a lot of sudsing with a high-efficiency machine. If you add too much detergent, the washer will have a harder time rinsing out the soap and can damage the machine. (Tip: If you have added too much detergent, you can reduce the suds by adding liquid fabric softener).
